Route 1: Sossusvlei – Deadvlei Scenic Flight 
Duration: Approximately 40 minutes 
Route Overview: Departing from the Sossusvlei Lodge Airstrip, this scenic flight showcases some of the Namib Desert's most iconic landmarks. Fly over Sesriem Canyon, Dune 45, Hiddenvlei, Deadvlei, Sossusvlei, and Elim Dune, enjoying aerial views of the famous red dunes, ancient camelthorn trees, and the vast white clay pans below. Along the way, guests may also spot fairy circles and wildlife including oryx, springbok, and ostrich. 
Highlights: Sesriem Canyon, Dune 45, Deadvlei, Sossusvlei and Elim Dune 

Route 2: Sossusvlei and Langewand 
Duration: Approximately 1 hour and 6 minutes 
Route Overview: Departing from Sossuslvei Lodge Airstrip the flight follows the famous Sossusvlei dune corridor before continuing west towards the Atlantic Ocean. After flying over Sesriem Canyon, Dune 45, Deadvlei and Sossusvlei, the aircraft descends towards the coast. Here, towering dunes meet the ocean along the dramatic Langewand coastline, creating one of Namibia’s most remarkable aerial views. The return journey crosses the desert plains and Fairy Circles near Elim Dune.

Route 3: Sossusvlei and the Shipwreck Coast 
Duration: Approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes 
Route Overview: Departing from the Sossusvlei Lodge Airstrip, this scenic flight takes you over Sesriem Canyon, Dune 45, Hiddenvlei, Deadvlei, Sossusvlei, and the "White Mountains" before continuing to the historic diamond camps and the Atlantic coastline. Along the coast, fly past seal colonies and the famous Eduard Bohlen shipwreck, one of Namibia's most iconic shipwrecks, before returning inland via Elim Dune. The return journey offers views of fairy circles and the opportunity to spot wildlife including oryx, springbok, and ostrich.

• Our scenic flights are operated by the use of reliable Cessna 206 and Cessna 210 aircraft, carrying a maximum of five passengers. 
•  Every guest has a window seat, ensuring uninterrupted views and excellent opportunities for photography throughout the flight. 
• Our experienced scenic flight pilots ensure every journey is personal, comfortable, and unforgettable. 

• Flights over Sossusvlei and Deadvlei are ideally enjoyed shortly after sunrise or later in the afternoon. Flights continuing to the Atlantic coast are generally recommended during the late afternoon, when the softer light creates beautiful colours and contrasts across the dunes. 
• Flight times remain subject to weather and operational conditions. 

• All flights depart from the Sossusvlei Lodge Airstrip near Sesriem. 
• Flights are subject to availability. 
• Guests should report to the Sossusvlei Lodge Adventure Centre at least 30 minutes before departure. After completing the necessary arrangements, your pilot will accompany you to the airstrip.
